In October of 1995, five ladies from the Belmont Church, felt we needed something for the Seniors of our church to do. At that time, we organized the Seniors Group of the Belmont Church and with Pastor David Evans as our advisor, decided to open it to the community also. After publicly announcing it we held our first meeting in February of 1996. We started with a membership of 27 people and have steadily been growing, till we reached 144 members. Now it varies due to health and death within the group. We are now in our 9th year of fellowship and enjoying it. We meet the second Friday of every month at the Belmont Church in the Social Hall. We have a catered lunch for $6.00 and varied entertainment, along with a business meeting
